Heelease was developed by UK surgeon, Mr Ranjan Vhadra in 2010.
Mr Vhadra graduated in medicine from the St. Bartholomew’s Medical School in London. He is a practicing consultant orthopaedic surgeon and is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and an International member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. When not operating or lecturing other orthopaedic surgeons, Mr Vhadra was working on the treatment in the hope of bringing some relief to the millions of sufferers of plantar fasciitis.
Heelease evolved from research Mr. Vhadra carried out as a trainee Surgeon. Shockwave therapy has been available for many years with much research published in the medical literature on its effectiveness. However, the treatment required large and expensive machines which meant the therapy was only available in hospital. Mr. Vhadra, working with a team of engineers has been able to miniaturise the electronics to make it portable and available to everyone. Heelease is now an easy to use, safe and effective device that many plantar fasciitis sufferers have found invaluable.
For many patients Heelease helps to manage their painful condition without having to take medicine. Heelease is available in many countries and has successfully helped many thousands of sufferers.
